If you have the unlock code number, its OK; if not, check owners manual or visit your dealer and ask about this code number with the VIN number.

Hope helps.

SOURCE: Replaced the battery & now the radio/cd player

Your radio will need a code to reactive it because the power has been lost.

You need to post up the serial and part number of the radio - found on a label at the back so you will need to remove the radio from the dash to find this.

Make and model of radio and car also required. Then we can advise further.

Thanks for using fixYa.

I have a 2006 New Beetle and the battery keeps going dead if not driven every day.

Something is drawing current in your car . Yes it COULD be the CD Player, but I don't think so because it should turn off with the key .
Here is simple proceedure to help you find what's drawing current and killing your battery; it work's BEST with two (2) people, but one (1)person can do it too .
You will need a test light and some patience . First you disconnect the positive (+) battery terminal and hook up the test light in between the battery and the battery terminal . The light will light up when you do so because you have a current draw somewhere .
Ater you hook up the test light, start pulling fuses out one at a time until the light goes out; when the light ges out, that's the curcuit that's causing the drainage problem .
Depending on which curcuit it is, you maybe able to fix it yourself; if for instance it is the CD Player .
(NOTE: be sure that before you run this test that the key and ALL accessories are OFF and ALL doors and your trunk is closed . If you have a light under your hood unplug it, because ALL of these thing's WILL give you a false reading .)
Good luck

The CD player in my factory stereo has a CD stuck inside of it. We know that the radio is programmed for this VIN # only. Can I unplug the stereo and fix the CD player and then plug it back in without...

Try disconnecting the battery for a few seconds and try to eject the cd, if this don't work you can take the cd player to the dealer ship and they can send it to be repaired

I have a 2005 Ford 500. I have twoo CD"S stuck in the player. How do I remove them?

If the two cd's which are stuck, if you can see that cd's then pull the cd with pliers. Its a two mouth pliers to pull the things out.The cd may get cracked/ break while removing. But if the cd's are not seen or its very hard stuck, then in that case. The cd player has to be removed out of dash.Yes it will be time consuming, and will not be very simple. But once the player is out, its not much to do.The cd player bottom has few screws to be removed.Once you remove the screws, the complete top assembly will get lifted. You can say" complete casing" will be lifted.Once the casing is out.You will visually see the cd, and you can manually slide the cd out and remove it.---------- ---------- Click this link for cd player removing procedure from dash :--------- http://whoisbyme.blogspot.com/2011/08/how-to-remove-cd-player-from-dash-of.html ----------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
