Use some WD40 and a pair of channel lock pliers. Don't PULL with the pliers, just twist the hoses and they should break loose from the fittings. Then you will be able to just pull them off. :)

Hope it helps bud!

1991 ford f150 fuel problem

Is it possible the fuel hoses are not hooked up right ? If you only changed the rear pump and the lines are correct, its possible the new pump damaged the check valve in the front pump. The valve could have been about to fail before replacing the rear pump.
You may be able to block the line going into the front tank and run the truck from just the rear tank.

How to change a fuel pump on a 1992 Toyota carolla

Electric Fuel Pump-Fuel Injected REMOVAL & INSTALLATION The electric fuel pump is contained within the fuel tank. On 1988-92 models, it is necessary to remove the fuel tank from the vehicle in order to reach the pump. On 1993-97 models, the fuel pump can be accessed by removing the rear seat cushion and service hole cover. 1988-92 Models Fig. 1: Exploded view of the electric fuel pump 88275g77.gif
NOTE: Before disconnecting fuel system lines, clean the fittings with a spray-type engine cleaner. Follow the instructions on the cleaner. Do not soak fuel system parts in liquid cleaning solvent. CAUTION
The fuel injection system is under pressure. Release pressure slowly and contain spillage. Observe "no smoking/no open flame'' precautions. Have a Class B-C (dry powder) fire extinguisher within arm's reach at all times.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and relieve the fuel pressure. Remove the filler cap.
  2. Remove the fuel tank from the vehicle.
  3. Remove the fuel pump bracket attaching screws, then remove the fuel pump/bracket assembly from the tank. Fig. 2: Remove the bolts retaining the pump bracket to the fuel tank 88275g78.gif

  4. Pull the lower side of the fuel pump from the bracket.
  5. Remove the nuts attaching the wires to the fuel pump.
  6. Disconnect the hose from the pump.
  7. Separate the filter from the pump. Use a small screwdriver to remove the attaching clip. Fig. 3: Pull off the lower portion of the pump from the bracket 88275g79.gif
Fig. 4: If necessary, remove the clip and pull out the filter to replace it 88275g80.gif

  8. While the tank is out and disassembled, inspect it for any signs of rust, leakage or metal damage. If any problem is found, replace the tank.
  9. Inspect all of the lines, hoses and fittings for any sign of corrosion, wear or damage to the surfaces. Check the pump outlet hose and the filter for restrictions.
  10. When reassembling, ALWAYS replace the sealing gaskets with new ones. Also replace any rubber parts showing any sign of deterioration. To install:
  11. Install the pump filter using a new clip. Install the rubber cushion under the filter.
  12. Connect the outlet hose to the pump, then attach the pump to the bracket.
  13. Connect the wires to the fuel pump with the nuts.
  14. Install the fuel pump and bracket assembly onto the tank. Use new gaskets.
  15. Install the fuel tank.
  16. Start the engine and check carefully for any sign of leakage around the tank and lines. Road test the vehicle for proper operation.
1993-97 Models CAUTION
The fuel injection system is under pressure. Release pressure slowly and contain spillage. Observe no smoking/no open flame precautions. Have a Class B-C (dry powder) fire extinguisher within arm's reach at all times. Fig. 5: Exploded view of the fuel pump components 88275g81.gif
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. CAUTION
On models with an airbag, wait at least 90 seconds from the time that the ignition switch is turned to the LOCK position and the battery is disconnected before performing any further work. Refer to Section 7 for all air bag warnings.
  2. Relieve the fuel pressure.
  3. Remove the rear seat cushion.
  4. Remove the floor service hole cover. Fig. 6: Remove the 4 service hole cover retaining screws 88275g82.gif

  5. Disconnect the electrical fuel pump wiring at the fuel pump assembly. Check for any fuel leakage while in there.
  6. Remove the gas cap, this will prevent any fuel gas spilling out of any high pressure lines.
  7. Using SST 09631-22020 or an equivalent line (flare nut) wrench, disconnect the outlet pipe from the pump bracket. Fig. 7: Disconnect the outlet pipe from the pump bracket 88275g83.gif

  8. Remove the pump bracket attaching screws.
  9. Disconnect the return hoses from the pump bracket, then pull out the pump/bracket assembly.
  10. Remove the nut and spring washer, then disconnect the wires from the pump bracket.
  11. Remove the sending unit attaching screws, then remove the unit from the bracket. Fig. 8: Pull the pump bracket with pump attached from the tank 88275g84.gif

  12. Pull the lower side of the fuel pump from the bracket.
  13. Unplug the connector to the fuel pump.
  14. Disconnect the hose from the pump.
  15. Separate the filter from the pump. Use a small screwdriver to remove the attaching clip.
  16. Inspect all of the lines, hoses and fittings for any sign of corrosion, wear or damage to the surfaces. Check the pump outlet hose and the filter for restrictions.

Need to know how to disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel pump to replace the fuel pump

  • Park your Chevy Tahoe in a safe place with a level surface and plenty of room for you to work around the vehicle. Open the hood and disconnect the black, negative battery cable.
  • Relieve the fuel system pressure. Loosen the fuel filler cap and depress the small stem inside the fuel pressure Schrader valve. The valve is similar to an air valve on a bicycle tire and is located on the fuel inline rail in the engine compartment right before the first fuel injector. Use a small screwdriver to depress the stem while covering the valve with a shop rag to catch the squirt of fuel.

  • Drain the fuel tank through the fuel filler hose using a hand siphon pump if necessary.
  • Raise the rear of the vehicle using a floor jack and safely support it on two jack stands.
  • Remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister located next to the fuel tank. Use a wrench or ratchet and socket.
  • Disconnect the chassis fuel lines leading to the fuel tank by pressing the lock tabs and pulling the lines off their fittings. Plug the fuel lines with clean shop rags to prevent fuel system contamination.
  • Disengage the EVAP line from the clip at the side of the tank, opposite the frame rail. Support the fuel tank with jacks if necessary and remove the two fuel tank straps using a ratchet and socket; then lower the rear of the fuel tank slightly. If necessary, disconnect the fuel filler hose from the tank by removing the hose clamp at the tank.
  • Disconnect the fuel pump electrical connectors, lower the tank and disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel/sending assembly on the tank.
  • Clean the area around the pump/sending unit assembly. Disconnect the pump/sending unit by unlocking the cam lock. With a long punch and a light hammer, turn the cam lock counterclockwise. After releasing the cam lock, lift the pump/sending unit assembly off the tank and replace the old pump with the new unit.

I have a 94 f 150 the rear tank works but no fuel to the engine when you switch to the front would this be the tank selector and is it in front of side tank

Each tank has its own fuel pump. Usually its the pump that goes out. You might also notice that fuel is tranfering its self to the non-working tank which means part of the fuel return valve is going out too. Another very good reason to replace the whole fuel pump assembly and not just the pump. I mean when you go thru the effort of dropping the tank to replace the pump, might as well put all new components in so you only do it once. On my 95 F150 the side tank was the front one and the rear was centered further back
