Try to reset the connector of the computer box. Check your spark plug if is wont out. Check the high voltage, high tension wire defective, check the distributor or tune up or wrong timing in the engine. Or your battery is also defective. These are only the possible cause of the engine with not starting.

I have a 2000 mercury cougar that is not getting any spark. I changed the coil, crank and cam sensors. The hot wire to the coil is hot when the key is turned, but no spark is getting to the plugs.

You need to run the OBD2 Diagnostics. You will need to have someone hook up a scanner to the vehicle and retrieve the codes. This is the best place to start.

My mercury cougar won't start, all lights are ok

Take another look at the battery, clean the posts and the terminal ends. Charge the battery, or jumpstart from another vehicle, and allow it to run for 5 to 10 minutes. Shut the vehicle off and see if it will start again. If not you will most likely need to replace the battery.

2000 mercury cougar wont start

what is anti-theft light doing? It should come on solid for about 2 sec after you turn the key on then turn off. If it is flashing after this then it is not seeing the computer chip in the key and you have a PATS problem.
