check fuel pump relay under hood if its good check fuel pump if pump is good change fuel filter still no start then test for fire to plugs no fire replace cap rotor got fire to plugs check for broken timeing belt good luck
do it yourself to save money, get your pump out and buy a new one and replace, its quite simple, but make sure that u clean that tank really good (is very good oportunity to do this, since ur car is 1990), replace the filter that u are going to find on the pump and the other fuel filter, just follow the fuel lines to the engine and ull find it., the access to your fuel pump should be below your backseat, have fun! i hope this helps
The fuel pump should run for a second or two when you first turn the key on, but then shuts down to prevent the engine from flooding if the computer does not get a signal from the crank or cam sensors which the computer uses to trigger the ignition system. So no spark no fuel. Check to see if you have a spark in the ignition system.
your injector or fuel pump may be going out, next time when you check the issue, check your distubutor again and making sure you getting sparks, if you do have sparks than it has to be your fuel problems.
bring the car to a parts store and have them test the battery and charging system for you, places like auto zone will do this for free, you need to confirm these are good before going any further good luck and please rate -Jeff
