Question about 2002 Lexus ES 300
I had to replace the battery in my 2002 Lexus ES 300. The radio works fine, and the doors & trunk can be unlocked with the remote, but the doors will not lock with the remote, I just get a long 'beeeeeeeeeep'! The manual that came with the car says that"the memorized data may need to be input into the computer" What does this mean, and how do I do it? (The car was purchased used, I don't know of any codes that were issued with it originally)
Wrong, it means you have to take your car to the dealers, or find the program codes for the key fob and reprogram your keyless fobs. If you fail, you will need to have your car computer "flashed", epensive.

More often than not, the long "beeeeeeeeeep" can be traced to a door that is not closed properly, or a dome light switch for a door that is not working properly.
