2005 g6 stalling

The car stalled after a 30 minute drive and when i took of at a stop sign it stalled. When i went to start it it didn't click or make any noise. Eventually it started but stalled once it was put in drive. We found if we reset the computers it would start but still every time it was put into drive it stalled. The car drove in reverse but not in drive. Checked all the fuses and seen nothing. Car has 50000 miles

I would suggest checking your wiring (core wire on the distributor, plug wires and the negative battery ground) I would imagine that the forward motion of the vehicle is possibly making your wires lose connectivity and making the car stall. Just a thought though.

Had the same problem with mine. Check and clean your throttle body, as well as all hoses leading from you air filter all the way to the engine. Took a bottle of carb cleaner, a rag, and some q-tips.

Stalling issue

If your car has high miles and you haven't changed the coil packs, that may be your problem. Bad coil paks will cause hard starting, rough idle and stalling.

Sunfire Stalling

Sounds like a mass air flow problem. It's located somewhere between the air filter and intake, but usually right after the air filter box.
Check to see that the big rubber hose there isn't cracked or ripped, check to see if the mass air flow wires aren't frayed or broken or disconnected.
Start with that, and ur check engine light must be on as well.

Car stalled twice today - once when low on fuel and at a stop sign - took foot off break and engaged but stalled- and then filled up and was going around corner and then stalled- what could it be

If the car actually ran out of gas, it could be air trapped in the fuel lines. it may take a few minutes for all the air to purge from the gas lines. The car may run rough during the process. The car should be fine after running a few minutes.
