Question about 1995 Ford Mustang

1 Answer

Headlight switch Hi! My base model 1995 ford mustang has headlight problems! I can't figure out how to get the gauge cover around my gauges and headlight switch off as the headlight switch end that you pull is to big to fit through the cover panel. Does the knob come off somehow and if it does how?? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks! Kurtis

I have a 1995 ford mustang and im experiencing something kinda werid if i let the car sit for more than a couple of hours my dome light doesnt work when i open the door but i can pull the headlight switch...

If you have a light control module then that is probably failing. However if the dome light is activated by small switches in the door pillars it is possible that the contact points may be rusty or have a bad earth.

I'm having electrical problems with a 1996 Ford Mustang convertible. The turn signals and gauge lights flash when I press the door unlock button but the doors will not lock or unlock. I've tested both...

Sounds like someone may have crosswired something.
I know a guy who installed his own stereo system in his pickup and it worked, but only when the headlights were on. He had wired the power wire into his headlight wiring.
I would look for a similar problem.

First off do you have factory lights or the aftermaket high intensity bulbs. if you do get rid of them and replace them and your multifunction switch (headlight signal light high beam wiper switch)

I have a 1983 Chevy S10 pickup. With headlights off all gauges work normal. When you pull the headlight switch on all the panel lights except the windshield wiper switch locator light never turn on and all...

take a look at the dash ground wire located next to the right of ebrake release handle. if the bole holding the ground wire is loose, which was quite common it will cause all kinds of feed back problems, like described in the comments section to your question.

Sounds like you may have a short where the fusebox is. Take out the instrument panel and check the circuitry for black spots or and type of arcing or shorts.

95 mustang gt headlight problem

Its your headlight switch... I have the same problem with my mustang.... After time goes on it wears on the copper connectors on the headlight switch and they will either get loose or they will bend and at times losing connections... I picked up the headlight switch from Auto Zone for $16.99... AND I believe that the sound you're hearing isn't coming form your engine but its coming from the headlight switch... Dont quote me on it but I am sure thats where its coming from... Due losing and gaining connection...
