Question about 1989 Jeep Cherokee

1 Answer

Lost power to the blinker and stereo, dash plug, wipers. it went out once and then came back on for a couple of days then went out for good a couple months ago, I also live in the wetest place on earth and it is not easy to drive like this. lost power to the blinker and stereo, dash plug, wipers. When i jiggled the the key they all came back on then i hit a bump and they all turned off again until i jiggled the key. Would this be a problem with the ignition switch? a connection or maybe a worn switch?

im not going to try to guess at your problem and waste your time. but here is what i can do. so untill you get this fixed try some RAIN-X on your windshield and follow the directions on the bottle or it doesnt work so well. you need a wiring schematic you wont find one for free. we use Alldata.com and they have a great section on wiring. this is what all the pros use .
    good luck

Blinkers suddenly went out on the Van

well, it could be a short, but it is more likely to be that the relay went again, or that the fuse went. try those first. and depending on the quality of the relay, it may go more often than every 4-5 months. if there is a short, when you replace the fuse it will immediately blow again. also, you might try replacing the bulbs.
