I am not a VW expert, but what I've heard is that your generation of Jettas have "sealed" automatic transmissions. Meaning they intended the fluid to last the life of the vehicle so they made no provision for checking or adding fluid.
That said I believe there are add and drain bolts you can remove but it's a huge PITA to get the fluid to the proper level, you have to wait until it spills out a hole at a certain temperature or something like that.
Do you know you need fluid? Or are you just trying to check or change it? Unless you're up for a headache you might want to let the dealer handle this one.
I have heard that there is a place on the transmission where you can install a dipstick, supposedly you can get kits off ebay or someplace to install one.
That's all assuming you have an automatic, if it's a manual then I have no idea, haven't worked on one and have never heard any issues concerning it.
