Where is the heater core located on 99 Ford escort ZX2?

Typically you will find the heater core sits inside the dash just inside the fire wall of the engine compartment, from the engine bay you can follow the water lines from the cooling system and water pump that go back to the fire wall and through to the heater core, find those to hoses together and the heater core is on the other side under the dash, usually under passenger side under dash behind the heater box, they are usually labor intensive to pull, and some require pulling the dash partly off etc.

what country, cars the world over, have VINs or just Chassis tag.
and each country has laws governing where they go.
so no country , no joy.
here , in usa its on top of dash. left
in other countries, its (well lots of places ) but most are on the fire
wall.. open hood see fire wall look. see it?

that steel wall behind the engine is that place.
but Im guessing country, so , will be wrong,1/2 the time.

Want to know where the heater motor is located

On the Stratus the blower motor is located under the dash behind the center console or under the dash on the passanger side.To get a rough idea as to where its at is to look in the engine compartment on the passanger side fire wall there should be 2 water feed lines going to the heater core from the water pump or the thermostat housing.Follow these feed lines and that would help you find the blower motor. These motors are a bear to get to.Hope this helps you to find it.

I need to know how to change out the heater hose on a 1991 420 SEL

If you mean the one going through the fire wall, cut it off an inch away from fire wall and join with connector and hose clamps from a parts store .

If different, some models, the hose terminates in the scuttle area behind the fire wall.

I remember on one, I had to reach in under dash to disconnect the hose end.

You may need to put the hood into it's service position to acess the end of the hose.

There is a release mechanism on the hood struts or the hinges so hood will stand straight up.

1996 DODGE RAM 1500 4X4 5.9 LTR.. Problem is that

You have a blown heater core my friend. I have a quick fix and a permanent one. Quick fix is to unhook the hear lines from the fire wall and couple them together. That will stop it from over heating. 2 requires a friend and a full 6 hours. Remove the dash. I recommend getting a haynes manual for the dash removal. Hope this will point you in the right direction.

Blower Motor Location

Look under the hood on the fire wall where the heater hoses go into the interior ogf the car. The heater core is just inside under the dash. theree is no easy way to tak out the heater core. But it is done all the time.
Do that only if it's leaking and the carpet under the dash is wet. If not, try flushing the heater core .With the engine cold and the radiator empty, Take both hoses off that connect to the heater core. Insert some hoses to both the inlet and outlet so you can direct the water down and away from the engine. With a good stream of water pressure. Put the water hose into one of the inlets. And spray the water in until it comes out the other hose. Flush out everything that may be clogging the core.

Water leak

maybe theres a pin hole from rust in your fire wall. On my 1993 gran prix it had a pin hole and right by the pin hole in the fir wall there was a little lip in the metal and it would hold water for sometime.
