Ok, i had this same problem. On the driver side of the engine right under the intake mainfold there is a vacuum hose comming off the bottom of the intake, then going to a switch. if you trace the vacuum line going out of the switch it goes to the Intake mainfold Runner control. This vacumm line is made about 6 inches short and will tend to crack over time, poor design. replace the vacumm line and you back in business.

The P2004 is set when the Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) is commanded closed by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), but the IMRC indicates open.

you may be able to remove and clean the units to ensure they move freely otherwise replace them
code p2004 refers to intake manifold air control actuator-bank 1--actuator stuck open===Causes---wiring--intake manifold air control actuator---mechanical fault .I would check blockage and wire connections Then I would replace the actuator But I would not tear down the engine as it is between the air filter and the manifold. Check the air cleaner element
P2004 is intake manifold runner control stuck in the open position. The problem is common in several Ford models. Problem is either switch or actuators.The actuators can be tested using a tool to move them if they are styck and reading volts or in the control circuit.

hi tech guy i got an answer from daves944 that said it should work. then i went to aranger site and saw a pic of the senso drive and it looked the same asthe dist. also the firing order is the same. thanks for the help dyoyo

Out of specification pressures controlled by the transmission main control valve body separator plate may be the cause.
Verify the condition, the main control valve body separator plate may
need to be updated to the latest level. Refer to the following Service
Procedure for details.

assembly, refer to the installation procedures found in the kit.
Reinstall the main control by continuing to follow the installation
steps listed in the Workshop Manual, in-vehicle service, main control
After completing the procedure, verify the condition has been corrected.
Clear all DTCs.
