Question about 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Won't start We have tried everything that you have suggested. Won't start, checked all fuses, changed battery, changed igination switch, changed crankshaft sensor, checked fuel pump-ok. Any suggestions? Please help.

    Can I see this on the original posting so I know what was recommended? Do you have spark and fuel pressure?

Dear The FixYa Team,
To answer your question, No I do not have spark or fuel pressuer.
My husband has checked all the fuses, ignition switch, crank shaft
sensor & computer. All these check out. Any suggestions on what
we can do next. We appreciate your help with our problem.

Won t start


Check battery must fully charged, check starter fuse and relay Check 12 volt wire from ignition switch to starter relay in the fuse box ,then check 12 volt wire from starter relay to starter motor solenoid if if it's everything is ok then change the starter.

just a suggestion to check the main fuses under the hood that controls the ignition.These are usely big square fuses

Truck won't start but the horn honks when I turn the key.


Sound like a wire loose. could be the earth cable to the engine, or the main power cable from the battery to the fuse box/ignition switch/starter.

1988 jeep won't start


Not sure if I read your post right, but you have to have a hot wire to the ignition switch from the battery, independent of anything else on the car, before the switch will work.
The CPS is a common problem on the jeeps, though. If bad, you may not get a coil signal.

Engine won't start when it's warm. Acts flooded. Can usually get it started after 5 minutes or so. Runs rough for 5-10 seconds and then works great. 27-28 mpg. So far changed plugs, one plug...


try running a good injector cleaner thru it- sounds as if you have a(or a couple)weeping injector,
try LUCAS injector cleaner- works on my sonoma

1996 Toyota Camry 2.2 - will not start from ignition switch


Sounds as if this is a Nuetral Saftey Switch or wire Problem check the N/S Cuircit for Opens.

Intermittent starting


check the igination switch.
do you get power to the starter???
