The lite is there to warn you that there is something wrong, could be low oil level, check the oil level, could be that the sender unit is defective, get the oil pressure checked with a mechanical gage to verify oil pressure. If the mechanical gage shows low oil pressure with the proper oil level then you need to have your unit repaired
