Question about Mitsubishi Eclipse

Engine turns over but will not start. Engine was running good stop to jumb a friend off with booster cables. My engine died and I can't start it it. HHEELLPP.

    I have a 2002 mitsubishi spyder it was running fine after work car wont start battery is good and I get nothing need help thanks

Ok next time you jump start some body, the right way to do it, is pluging the jumper wires, start you car for a few minutes to charge the other car batterie, and the shut your car off, and tell the other driver to start his car, this is only an advise for next time, and regarding the not start on you car.
make sure to check all the fuses, including any fuses closed to the batterie if present,
and also ask some one to help you check for spark at spark plugs, if you do have spark let me know and i will guide you from there, but before any thing let me know exactly what the car does or does not do, like it crANKS BUT WONT START? or does not crank or turn at all?

Go to your fuse panel you probaly snapped a fuse look for a fuse labeled ignition (ign) or ecm if ok check the rest of your fuses with a test light both sides of fuse top has a little area for probe testing fuse if both sides dont light the light pull to check if snapped replace

What would cause engine yo die at a stop light and not start again. The engine almost turns over but doesnt.


engines stopping at lights can sometimes be attributed to a vacuum leak in the brake booster
test by idling the engine with the hand brake on and no foot brake then apply the foot brake and if the engine dies then it is the brake booster
hard to restart may be the vacuum leak if you still have your foot on the brake.

1984 Honda Accord Brake Problem


well aside from the boosters you may also want to check the possitioning rotor and calipers. there is a possibility that something slipped, or leaked, check for brake fluids and try to trace where it is comming from.

the picture below shows how to disassemble the brakes of an Accord, the only special tool you will need is a ball joint fork to seperate the upper and lower ball joints. You have to remove the whole steering knuckle assembly to get to the bolts in back of the rotor and hub assembly.

test the brake booster
start the car and idle with the handbrake on. If it idles ok then apply the foot brake
if the engine dies or stops --replace the brake booster
If the engine will not ilel without the foot brake check for a vacuum leak in --the transmission vacuum line , vent control lines or manifold leak.

Why is it so hard to apply brake pedal?


_______power brake booster, check vacuum to booster and the check valve for brake booster. primary symtom is high hard pedal that requires greater then normal pedal pressure to stop car. testing booster= pump brakes several times with engine off to deplete stored vacuum. turn on engine with pushing slightly on brake pedal. you should be able to feel the pedal fade away a bit, and then become firm. But not hard. if you feel nothing at the pedal when engine starts. Brake booster is not working. Good-day! make sure vacuum is going to booster with engine running. it may just be a bad vacuum line or check valve.

Everytime I stop my car dies, no warning at all. It usually starts back up but now it won't even start


Check to see that the power brake booster can hold a vacuum. If not, the leak is causing air to lean out the fuel mixture when you decelerate for a stop--so the engine dies. The leak is usually in the diaphragm material of the brake booster. Eventually the crack or tear in the material gets big enough to cause the engine to not start.

Stalls when pressing brake peddel


check for a faulty booster check valve. it is on vacuum hose to booster. you should only be able to blow on only one side, if you can blow through both sides then it is bad. the check valve holds the vacuum in booster. if bad you will lose vacuum. The check valve keeps the vacuum in the booster from leaking back into the intake when engine vacuum drops because of high loads or when the engine dies.
The symptoms would be no power boost when you turn the engine off or when the engine dies. Step on the brake with the engine running and note pedal position. Turn off engine and step again and the position should be the same. If the pedal is hard and higher then the check valve or booster is bad. have a good day!!

My car dies when it get warm?


sounds like a your tie rod ends or ball joints are bad. as far as it turning off in gear means that the fuel injection is screwed up which means its a gas problem which is a intake problem with wrong fuel mixture or even a vacuum leak.
