First of all standard or auto i am guessing its standed standard under drivers side hood near master cylinder there is a small clutch reservoir if there isnt enough fluid it wont extend the throw out bearing far enough for a shift because the clutch pedal is hitting the floor not enough fluid to extend the slave cylinder to drive the fork second faulty slave cylinder or throw out bearing as far as the light blown dash bulb or somone snipped the wire or took the bulb out

There are many things to consider with an automatic. Check that you have installed the kick down cable and spring correctly. If the kickdown is stuck or the spring is holding it in the wrong direction this will cause your problem. Insure your 8 pin plug is seated properly into into the sillinoid connector. Also check and see if any transmission codes have been set. Hope this helps.

Dodge ram 1500 2001 codes coming up 0753 1757 1762 1765 trans not shifting proper trans in drive wont shift to lower gears automaticly

0753 is shift solenoid A, electrical problem.as for the other codes they should start with a zero not a one. if they started with a 0757 that means shift solenoid B,stuck in on position. 0762 means shift solenoid C,stuck in on position. 0765 means shift solenoid D,malfunction

just drop the transmission pan to drain it and the filter is right there in the valve body,DON'T mess the band adjustment, they are only to stop the planetary gears so you can go into reverse, there is no such thing as adjusting bands! that went out with the fifties!
