Question about 2003 Kia Sedona

2003 Kia Sedona

Hi everyone,
I bought my sedona brand new in 2003 and it has been a great van so far. I read a LOT of bad stories about kia cars but mine must be special. Anyway, lately it seems that when I press the gas pedal down into passing gear, I have little response in the way of feeling the power. Before it would get up and go. The engine runs smooth and everything works fine. The only thing I ever had to do to my van is replace the fuel pump. That was free from the dealer. Anyway, I have 72000 miles on it. I will check the fluid level and see where that stands. If anyone has had the same problem let me know. Thanks

72000 miles and only replace fuel pump? Never a tune up? If so, it just might be as simple as that....

Check the relays. Kias are bad about that and only use Kia relays, other brands won't work.

Usually if both stop working the speed sensor in the transmission has failed, but the check engine light should also be on.
