You might have accidentally hit the knob that controls the lcd screen. if that's the case you need to press down the knob and you will see it on.

or the sensor in the trunk got watered in and get damaged. this is bad. it will cost you at least $500.00 to replace.

I have a 98 Intrepid with a 2.7 engine. It was driving fine on Thursday night. Went to leave for work Friday morning and it wouldn't start. So far, we have tried a new battery, had the started tested,

The 2.7 had alot of problems with the cam sensor. I would start there. Its located on the front top of the timing cover. Unplug it and see if it "Pops" attempts to start.

I hae to jump the car off every morning i just put a new alternator in and the battery is 6 months old

their might be a problem with your wires causing the battery to be running nonstop. what you could try to se if this is the problem is dissconnect the battery before bed after use of car and hook it up in the morning and see if it works. i hope this helps!

I have 1998 Chevy Silverado with over 200,000 miles. One morning I started it up just fine, backed out of the drive way, and it just died. I turned the ignition to off, and turned it back on and parked it....

Check your battery terminals. They may be corroded or just loose. If you get it running again have the battery and charger tested at an Advance or Autozone.

Hope this helps.

Batt or alt?

The battery won't just quit so suddenly, you'll know when it's almost dead, so it could be the alternator. If you can get the car started, check the voltage on the battery while the car is running, if it's below 12.8 - 13 volts, then the alternator isn't charging and it may need replacement, or repair. Good luck!
