We had a 94 Isuzu Rodeo, which is almost identical to the Passport. Look on the top of the valve cover towards the front of the engine compartment, for a somewhat round "cap". It unscrews but it can be difficult to get leverage to open it if it was put on too tight before. I believe it had yellow lines on it, some king of picture, but it didn't say OIL.

10w30 oil.... and look around the engine compartment for something that looks like an oil icon. that unscrews and you add oil there. if you still cannot find it stop at just about any auto shop... they will show you.

Jeff I read for codes on my 1998 honda passport and there was no codes at all. The trans is automatic only has reverse. I can't find the dipstick to check the oil level. Any suggestions ?

Unless you see red fluid on the ground you likely have no low fluid condition look under the car if it is leaking that much transmission fluid will be all over the place all the way back to the rear. Based on the symptoms you have indicated you havwe a failed transmission in need of a rebuild

Where is the shift solenoid located in the transmission on a 94 Honda passport ex with a v6

Not familar with your exact transmission, but most have more than one shift solenoid. These are usually easy to access once trans bottom pan is removed.

How do i find the transmission fluid dip stick on a 2001 honda passport?

There is no dipstick. The engine and transmission was designed by Isuzu up till 2002, and the automatic transmission was a sealed, no-maint. transmission. You will either need to purchase the special tools needed, or...........that's right, go to a transmission shop!!!

Can you tell me how to chech tramission fuild where it is located

I know they made some changes in 95, but I am not sure about the tranny dipstick. The 94 had the dipstick on the passenger side of the engine, towards the rear, the oil stick sits right in front of it. You check the fluid hot, while running, in park. and you fill it right there too, with along neck funnel. Now, if you don't have the dipstick, then they changed that year, there are 2 plugs on the right side of the tranny, crawl under there and find one up, one down, the bottom one is level and the top is fill. Pull the bottom one out, while cold, not running. if oil seeps out, it is full, if no oil seeps out, pull the top plug and fill with the right fluid till it seeps out the bottom hole, I use 90 weight gear oil top on the tranny fluid bottle and squeeze right in there, then plug them back up. Hope this helps.
