Question about 2004 Jeep Liberty

1 Answer

Fan keeps running

I have a 2004 Jeep liberty. We went for about an hour drive to and back with a 2 hour break in the middle. When we got home and shut off the car the fan kept running. (we did use the a.c.) I let it run for a while but it never stopped...an hour. Whats the problem. I disconnected the battery in the mean time so it won't keep running

It has a bad cooling fan relay. It isn't too easy to replace and it takes approx. 2 hrs to replace. It is located right behind pass or driver side headlight. It is flat and has 4 wires coming out of it. Hope this helps.

2005 Jeep Liberty 3.7L overheating

it's overheating, for sure,
is coolant levels dropping? cold checked at rad cap?
"pulled over and found a hose to cool the radiator and hose near the thermostat,"
i can not understand this statement"above"
if it overheat only parked, check fan for full ops.
if overheats moving too, wont stay cool moving fast
then:
bad rad cap
bad thermostat , they have 7 year life says STANT. (and why)
belts slipping (to water pump)
rad cores blocked (IR thermo gun it) ask
water pump impellers rust 1/2 gone?

all this assumes no coolant loss, if you have loss, tell where.,
where it leans
ground
passengers toes (foot well)
engine oil pan? milky oil
if A/T TRANS, check it for milky too.

04 Jeep liberty can only feel air conditoner when jeep is moving the other day the jeep beeped thee times and the overheated engine light was on now its off

Sounds like a fan issue. The engine and A/C are only being cooled when the vehicle is moving and air is flowing across the radiator and condenser. I would start car with hood up and check that fans cycle on as the engine gets warmer and a/c is turned on. Don't let it get too hot, and keep clear of fans and moving parts.

My 04 Jeep Liberty has a 135000 and has been running great. No repairs so far. Problem is: driving home yesterday I noticed a miss during accelaration. The engine light started blinking and then went...

First Joe check all your fuses, Second if you can get a code check some parts stores like O'reilly's may do it for free. Check your spark plugs may be time for a tune up. Check for broken vaccum hoses in the engine and vaccum lines.

2004 jeep liberty heater fan works on 123 but not on high

What do you mean you "went through a car"??? Did you crash???
Generally one speed being "out" is caused by a burned out relay or resistor pack. Check those!!!
