This is not the right place to answer this issue, call the seller and explain the problem, that is the 1st step, your reciept is the bank payment.

2002 malibu 3100 engine i need number 1 thru 6 cylinders

The engine is mounted transversely (sideways)-the front of the engine is on the passenger side where the serpentine belt runs. On the backside bank, bank one, closest to the firewall, are cylinders 1-3-5, from front of engine to rear. So number one cylinder is on the back bank, and nearest to the passenger side of the car (bank simply refers to which side of the engine on a v6 or v8, bank one or bank two. Bank one is always the side where the #1 cylinder is located, and bank two is the opposite side.) On the front bank or radiator side, bank two, the cylinders are 2-4-6, front to back of engine.

The firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6, easy to remember.

Just bought a 2005 Ford Taurus with 68,000 miles on it and it sent 3 codes until the seller replaced two O2 sensors and turned off the check engine light. After about 3 cranks, the check engine light came...

Sorry for the bad news-it is most likely a bad catalytic converter. You would have to have the car inspected with the owner of the car at a repair shop to get a estimate before handing money over to purchase this car. The engine light comes on too soon and I`ve seen this problem many times before.. Remember that`s over 100,000kms on the converter

This is the info that an O2 sensor is telling the computer,This would require checking out the O2 sensor,As far as the spark plug question,What he wants to order is not what the manufacturer suggest for your car.You just paying more for a fancy type racing plug.

Engine light is on. seller said it is a sensor, could this be true?

Sure, but WHICH sensor? If thats all it needs , get the seller to pay for the repairs. Dont buy it until its either fixed, or you have a qualified repair shop diagnose and give you an estimate for repairs.

Need firing order and, I need to know what side the number one piston is on?

To avoid confusion, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement.

The 3.5L (VIN H) engine's unique ignition system has the ignition coils directly over each plug. No spark plug wires are used.
If a coil is replaced on any of the 3.1L, 3.4L or 3.8L engines, it may not be numbered, as is the factory coil. For this reason it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. If the current wiring does not match, make notes in your guide to reflect how your engine is wired.

The firing order for the 3.1L VIN M, 3.4L VIN E, 3.4L VIN X and 3.5L VIN H engines is 1-2-3-4-5-6. The right bank cylinders are on the cowl side (rear) of the engine compartment and are numbered 1,3,5, left bank cylinders on the front side of the vehicle, are numbered 2,4,6.
The firing order for the 3.8L VIN K and 3.8L VIN 1 engines is 1-6-5-4-3-2. Starting at the front of the engine, cylinders in the left bank are numbered 1,3,5 and cylinders in the right bank are numbered 2,4,6
