2004 Ford Mustang service engine soon light flashing in fifth gear.

if the car bottomed out on the snow, it may have pulled wires loose under the car..or overstressed the mounts and such..but be looking for loose wires first..put the car o a lift and look under it particularly near the shifter linkage area and see if anything looks out-of-place..good luck..

My mustang 2004 gt had different performance in different start ups (as if the computer tunes itself differently each time when starting). I believe my spark plugs need to be replaced but I doubt this is...

Is the Check Engine Light (CEL) on? If so, get the codes - call an auto parts dealer as some do it for free - and report back.

If not, you may have a sensor that has failed or is failing.

If not done, do the spark plugs and wires. Also, if your car has a MAF sensor in the air intake, clean it w/MAF sensor spray - don't use carb cleaner or brake cleaner - too harsh.

2004 Ford Mustang will not start battery is ok?

Did you check the alternator? It is possible this may be the issue. If you can get someone to do test on your starter and alternator, such as Napa, Autozone, etc, this will help detect the problem for free.

No problem that I can tell, the light just came on an hour ago, all the gauges on dashboard show good. It starts and runs ok

Hi, welcome to FixYa.com my name is Shawn and I will be answering your question.

If you are refering to the yellow check engine light then it could be a faulty emmission sensor. The light will come on for various reasons including a loose gas cap try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes to clear the code. If it comes back then go to a local auto store they normally will scan the computer for free then post the fault codes for additional assistance.

I hope my assistance helped you and resolved your concern, if you need further assistance please as

My 2004 ford mustang has 82,thousand miles on it today it started bogging and the service engine light came on and is blinking..

When the light blinks on most cars in means that you are or can cause damage to the catalitic convertor. Have the codes checked at the parts store. get the codes and description Let me know and we can go from there

I'm not that familiar with this model, but it sounds like either a brake light fuse or the brake pedal switch could be the problem.
