More than likely since the car sat for so long with fuel in it that it separated. There is water in fuel and when it sits for an extended amount of time it will rust in side the tank and get into your fuel lines and even your fuel pump. First thing you could do is by some fuel treatment and run it through. it should hopefully break up anything inside there that could be impeding the fuel from getting into the carb.
Also check the leads inside the distributor. when a car sits for that long the seals can dry out and allow moisture in, corroding them and not allowing a spark to enter the cylinder and ignite the fuel.
Just remember that a car needs only three things to run
1. Spark
2. Fuel
3. Air
