you more then likely have an anti theft device, trying putting a flasher on either left or right and try, due all the dash gauges light up when you put the key to the on position? you can try unplugging battery and replugging it, ensure you have the radio code for stock radio before doing so.
You need to get the serial number off the sticker attached to the radio. It will require pulling apart your dash. Call an Acura dealership with that serial number and they should be able to provide you the code. Or you can take it directly to the dealer but you will be charged labor.

The security code is normally pasted on the left or right side of the
glove compartment once you open it look on the outside of the sides.
It's a little sticker. Look both inside and outside of the glove
compartment. If its not there then you will have to call the dealer, try the Acura dealer you purchased the car from. Also, if this is not the original radio in there, you will likely have to take it to them and show some ID to prove its yours. GOOD LUCK!
You will need to find your radio serial number...this is how you can do it on a 2001 MDX
Press preset buttons 1 and 6 at the same time.
Turn on radio.
An 10 digit serial number will appear on display. make sure to include the small numbers or letters as well. This only works if the radio is locked. After getting the radio serial number you will need your VIN number...call the dealership where you purchased the vehicle and give them both numbers and they can get it for you...thats the only way I know how to get the code.
