ok hear are a few things to check .......

    1. Perform thorough visual inspection as outlined in "Intermittent Condition Diagnosis".
    2. Check Ignition timing and ensure ignition system components are satisfactory.
    3. Check for binding or sticking TPS and throttle linkage.
    4. Check IAC valve and control system.
    5. Ensure charging system output is within specifications.
    6. Check park/neutral switch circuit.
    7. Check operation of EEC system and canister purge control.
    8. Check power steering pressure switch circuit.
    9. Check EGR system for condition causing valve to remain open or partly open at all times.
    10. Inspect oxygen sensor for contamination. Contaminated sensor will cause ECM to reduce amount of fuel delivery.
    11. Check Ignition timing and ensure ignition system components are satisfactory.
    12. Check for fuel in pressure regulator signal hose. If present, replace regulator.
    13. If problem exists with A/C on, check A/C request, A/C signal and IAC circuits with SCAN tool

I have also had the computer to go bad and cause a similar problem. you can do what I call a tap test on the computer. it is located in the glovebox area. what you will need to do is gently tap on the computer and if it is bad the engine will die or stumble while tapping. also might want to check fuel pressure and volume. check for vacuum leaks around throttle body area.

you will need a timing light to check timing with it on #1 spark plug. Also will have to disconnect blk/ tan wire under pass side dash next to blower motor to check timing. only way you can check o2 sensor output is with a computer scanner. park nuetral switch can be checked by trying to start it in drive and see if it tries to start when it shouldn't unless it is in park or neutral.

well could be bad gas but I was thinking I had one recently do something real wierd to me at my shop and it was on a 93 chevy with a 4.3L v6 and it turned out to be the distributor had went bad. if you take off the distributor cap and remove the rotor button you will see the ignition module and the pick-up coil. what happened on this truck was the little wheel on the distributor was broke. He bought a new distributor for about $100 from autozone and he has been tickled since. You may want to look and see if anything is bad under that distributor cap. Hope this helps.

http://www.alldatadiy.com this website is a pay website but it does have very good info. It is better than a Haynes book. Maybe this could help you out.

Are you sure you put the oil in the engine and not the transmission, check both the engine and trans dip sticks to make sure they are at the correct level.

Engine stall when put into gear.

There are a few possibility on this one. If you run it out of gas or really low on gas you could of sucked junk up from the bottom of the tank and you will need to replace your fuel filter. Another is that your fuel pump us going bad and you would need to check the pressure. Your throttle position sensor may have gone bad. Your idle control valve is another. Your map sensor or mas sensor could be bad
