I can not start my escape the ignition key will not go in all the way ,it stop half way
The chambers inside the key cylinder are going bad. I had the same problem. I took my key to a ford dealer and they reset the chambers in a new cylinder to fit the key. It is very simple to do yourself. I removed the old one and installed the new one. 20 mins top. All you need is a screwdriver. It will get worse and lock up and then you will not be able to remove the key cylinder yourself. I found buying a $19.00 book on this model really helps. I think it cost me around 100.00 for the new part.
