Question about 2006 Hummer H3
I brought my 2006 H3 in to the dealer for the same thing. My blower stopped working all together but it started as an intermittent problem. He said he had to replaced a diode or resistor either behind the switch on the dash that controls the fan or on the fan motor itself. Have not had a problem since but that was only about 4 months ago.

I have a 2006 Hummer H3 and experienced the same problem with the blower motor not working. Relatively easy fix. This problem results from what I consider inferior electrical resistor parts. The resister is easily reached underneath the glove box up by the firewall. If I remember correctly, you just remove two screws and 3 electrical connectors and it comes right out. Kind of like replacing a drive in a computer. If you inspect the part, you will probably see a dark area where the resistor burnt. Just put the new improved one in that I got from the GM dealer reconnect the 3 electrical connectors and two screws and try your blower! Should work. One of the electrical connectors is a little tough to get to as it is on the side so I bent the wires to help get it back in the right spot. Believe me, you can make this repair yourself and save a ton of money.
