The engine will idle rough and shut off when coming to a stop.

  • Anonymous Mar 24, 2014

I have a 2006 H3 and have an intermittent idling issue. I suspect it's the fuel filter. There is no check engine light during this problem and OnStar diagnostics show no issues. I have them run a check during the time this happens. I have 114,000 miles on it.

I brought my 2006 H3 in to the dealer for the same thing. My blower stopped working all together but it started as an intermittent problem. He said he had to replaced a diode or resistor either behind the switch on the dash that controls the fan or on the fan motor itself. Have not had a problem since but that was only about 4 months ago.

I have a 2006 Hummer H3 and experienced the same problem with the blower motor not working. Relatively easy fix. This problem results from what I consider inferior electrical resistor parts. The resister is easily reached underneath the glove box up by the firewall. If I remember correctly, you just remove two screws and 3 electrical connectors and it comes right out. Kind of like replacing a drive in a computer. If you inspect the part, you will probably see a dark area where the resistor burnt. Just put the new improved one in that I got from the GM dealer reconnect the 3 electrical connectors and two screws and try your blower! Should work. One of the electrical connectors is a little tough to get to as it is on the side so I bent the wires to help get it back in the right spot. Believe me, you can make this repair yourself and save a ton of money.

When i turn on the contol knob for the air conditioner it will not blow, i have a 2006 hummer h3.

It sounds like your fan is not getting power or the motor is shot.

You can check the fuse panel to see if there is a blown fuse. Your manual should be able to tell you where the fuse panel is and which fuse controls the AC fan.

If that doesn't work either the fan motor is fried and needs to be replaced or there is a wire between the control panel and the fan that is severed/shorted. If you can find the blower fan and you have a multimeter you can test the motor to see if its good. Let me know if you need any more help.

Fan control nob on AC & heater dosn't work

if it does not turn you need a complet unit.
if it turn but the fan does not work it could be a fuse or the circuit of the fan or the fan it self.

Turn the fan on and hit the fan motor a tap with your hand .. if it starts up you know it needs replacing .

2006 H3 Hummer fan problem

Hi if your internal fan not work in any position well i fixed up myself easy and save your money.
locate the fan motor air just outside right courtesy drawn document in front of passenger. go from down and look up you will see a motor with a big connector white with 2 screw secure inside the motor block. loose the two screws and pull out gently the connector from motor fan block. you will see a green multiresistor connected with this big connector. Usually the first + voltage connector is burnet out. disconnect the connector pull from resistor and check for any burn. in my case the first pin was burned out completely
you can buy another connector or you can clean the burned connector take out form connector weld a small copper cable of 5 mm dia from resistor to the burn cable and reconnect the connector without buy a new one. after replace again the resistor in the hole of motor blow with the 2 screw.
Done all work again without buy another new connector.

Heater will not blow air

Is the fan motor working? Could be fan blades disconnected from motor. Also check to see if air is being blocked somewhere. Check your fuses.

2006 Hummer H3 a/c & heater fan/blower failed

Probably too late now, I am sure you have already fixed it, but mine did this and it was an electrical part that is mounted right beside the blower fan. The part was OK, but the plug into the part was arcing and burned out the connection. A Chevy mechanic told me this has been happening to MANY Chevy products. I had to buy a new part and plug assembly with new wires, about 100 dollars, and I spliced them together. It was an Easy fix, but I shouldn't have had to do it :(

Cooling fan is not pushing air out.

That could be the blower motor resistor or the blower motor

My AC/Heat fan is not working

my 06 h3 just had same problem, the motor control resistor pack was bad, located under glove box, mounted inside ac duct, large connector and two screws will remove it.
mine had burnt spot on connector, cleaned connector terminals and installed new pack, works fine now. I found your problem while looking for another elec problem i'm having.
