The car was running good then it cut out and would stall if you gave it to much gas. I changed the spark plugs, wires. distributor cap, rotor, coil, fuel filter, and added BG 44k to the tank. At first it was running rough, I let it run , then it smoothed out, the car was putting out black smoke, only when i give it gas, like it was collecting in the muffler and then blown out. After letting it run in the driveway the smoke seems to be going away. Is this normal for the BG 44k to be this drastic, wasnt smoking before now it is. Is this just part of the cleaning or something i should worry about.

why does the post show suzuki and ford in 1 blue box. im clueless to that, but if a gas motor , the answer is the same ,for all. : bad motor.? bad spark, not ever tuned up. bad fueling stuck open EGR? bad electical power to the EFI system, killing spark and injections all at once it takes tools to find this, cuts out , means stalls, can you safe the stall with fast right foot.? do electric devices of any kind on car cut out , as engine stalls. diagnosis takes hands on, and tools.
have te ignition module and stator been replaced? that is the common cause of this, and yes the engine being out of time can cause this stall out, when you time the engine remember you must remove the timing shorting bar at the distributor connector to the TFI ignition module or the timing will be severelyretarded
I have a 1997 626 2.0L 5speed when im driven it like rev limits cuts out around 3500-4000rpm, and when i rev it up and past 4000rpm it stalls, anyone have a idea whats wrong??? thanks i just replaced the crank sensor and egr and still. good power put cuts out
If manual transmission it sound like a distributer timing problem or engine sensor problem. possible that spark plugs are fowled or coil pack is bad. Take vehical to have inspected with a code reader and get a tune up. or you have bad fuel system or fuel injection problems. There are many issue that can be causing this problem. hopefully this information is somewhat helpful
