"Sounds" to me that the Bearing on the Alternator (to which the Belt Pulley is attached) is worn out.
Remove the Belt and check for play in the Pulley, if ANY wobble replace the Bearing or the Unit.
As in the above post: "Luckily an Alternator is easily checked and if necessary, replaced."

You might have a Belt Tensioner failing as a squeal/rumble/vibration is indicative of a failing/failed Bearing much like a Water Pump.

Hi ncharron,

The first thing I'd check would be the belt(s) (tension, fraying, damage).
Second and most likely source of the problem is the alternator.

If you have someone to recruit as a helper, have them start the engine while you listen for the source of the squeel.
If you have a meter available, check the output voltage. From the Alternator.

The dropping voltage on the gauge is the key pointer here. It should maintain above +13.5VDC with the engine running.

The Squeeling is not a happy noise. Luckily an Alternator is easily checked and if necessary, replaced.

Let me know what you find out. That will tell us how to proceed.

Squeeling noise in one of the wheels on a 2007 Dodge Durango.

If its a lite squeel and goes away when brakes are applied. Have you had front brakes put on recently. If you have and the rotors were not replaced and turned. Alot of mechanics don't do the final cross hatching on the rotors when they are done turning. This will barke in the pads wrong and cause this even with expensive pads. It will cause premature glazing and have a squeel that will drive you crazy.

Squeek noise on front wheels when hit bump

The problem could be caused by a wheel bearing squeeling or the cv joint squeeling.

Loud sqoeeking noise when turning front wheels

is it a squeeking or a squeeling....

If it is a squeeking noise, take the car to have every thing on the front suspention lubed up, is possible it is dried out.

If it is a squeeling noise, then that means you need a new drive belt.
