Question about 1996 Ford Taurus
The first thing to check is the fuse located in the fuse box. your owners manual can give you the location and proper fuse amps. if that is good do you hear a noise when the wipers are turned on (motor running clicking ect. I have seen many instances where the wiper arm becomes worn and will not grip on the motor. there was a time when these were secured by nuts however today most are pressed on.if there is no noise then with the use of a 12 volt probe available at most auto parts store have a friend turn the switch on and off to see if you are getting power to the wiper motor. if not the switch is bad. if you have power then the motor has failed.
