I had the same problme you two had and I took it to the acura dealership and they had to replace the control module. Everything was working great for about a year and now it seems like the microphone is not working because noone can hear me talking and it will not follow any of the voice commands I say.

I have a 2004 acura tl and a blackberry 8330 curve. I have used bluetooth on this car since 2004. My phonebook on the car was frozen so I cleared the system and tried to pair my phone again. Now the system is stuck in pair mode. The key is out of the ignition, but the pair screen is still on. Now I have no radio and I'm afraid of a dead car battery. Any thoughts?

Mine will clear if I turn off the car for a few minutes. But if I press the phone button, even without a bluetooth phone anywhere near the car, it locks up. This happened after I tried to clear the system memory per the phone setting instructions. I can't see spending $1200 for this particular function. Will eventually find a control module at a junkyard, I guess.

I had/have the same issue. Only solution is to take to the dealer. And no guarantee they can fix. It is a corruption with the phone and the Handsfree system. I have a Blackberry 8830 World Phone and I had them working fine. My phone broke and I got a brand new (Same Phone). This new phone now will not sync. When I try to pair them it gets to the point where it asks for the code... and then locks up. Just like a frozen computer. If you have the radio codes and Navi codes you can disconnect the battery. Leave it set for about 5 minutes and try it again to let the system reset. I have tried multiple times and it will not work. I now just use my Jawbone bluetooth.... :) Acura dealer told me that.... It's the phone. I hope this helps

I called the acura hands free people and they told me to take my car to the dealer where they would preform a "hard reset" of the system. The dealer had never heard that term before, but concuded the hands free system had to be replaced entirely for about $1200. Luckily my extended warranty covered it. Replacing the unit seems to be the only real fix.

I need to connect a new phone to my lexus 460ls bluetooth system

Go into the information /Nav Screen and you will find an icon for phone, then settings. Click on the icon and it it will give you a connect new phone option, click on that icon and it will release a 4 digit entry code and be findable by your phone.
Next go to your phones tools or connections settings and look for Bluetooth, enbale Bluetooth, Search Bluetooth Devices/handsfree Your phone will search out the car, once found it will request the 4 digit pin code to be input and ask you to confirm "handfsree" Once confirmed the car will read out connecting...then bluetooth connection successful and the dial pad will appear on the NAV screen
If you have more than one phone connected to the car the driver will need to select the connect phone button in order to chose the phone he wishes to enable

Bluetooth problem

Turn on your NAV screen and go into the info main menu in the Nav system. If no NAV refer to the drivers handbook, since you will sinc by using the voice command buttons on the steering wheel and the car will offer you prompts.
Click on telephone, settings, Bluetooth, ADD PHONE.
Then go into the menu for the Curve, tools , add devices, enable handsfree, search new device are the icons you need. You will need to authorize the Curve to accept a new device by entering a 4 digit pin code, which will show on the car`s screen. Once completed, the car will acknowledge the Curve in it`s screen

Bluetooth?

Even if you have the handsfree kit installed (a little mic above the steering wheel console + the nice little bluetooth button on the steering wheel next to the radio controls) it does not mean you actually have bluetooth. Check your trunk. If you have the bluetooth module, it will be a black box, about half the length of a VHS and visible against the wall seperating the trunk from the inside of the car. The wire usually leads from the center console into the trunk and on some occassions, the module can be hidden under the mat you have to take out when accessing your spare.

Hope this helps!

Car should be under warranty. First stop is to the dealership. Sounds like sync software issue. You may need to wait until an update is available. Good luck.
