2003 ford focus 2.3 liter code p0320 comes up what does this mean

codes are OBDll and are available on line free

The most common cause of the DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) PO320 is either a defective CKP (Crankshaft Position) sensor or poor connection. Inspect the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor circuits and harness for a possible chafe on ground.Wiggle test the CKP sensor circuits with the engine idling to see if tapping or wiggling on the harness will result in a misfire or stall condition.

that sensor is called CKP, and on cars engines it can be many places, some even oddly places, it is not the cam sensor CMP
    the 2003 , 3.0 liter V6

    the manual covers this.

i will show a photo of it mounted, just using google . (brave)

some times just pretend to buy the part at the dealer, Merc

the dealer says it also fits Ford Mustang 1996 - 2014

    2V
    The crankshaft position (CKP) sensor:
    • is a variable reluctance sensor.
    • is mounted on the engine front cover.
    • is triggered by a 36-minus-1 tooth trigger wheel located on the crankshaft pulley and damper.
    • provides base timing and crankshaft speed (rpm) to the powertrain control module (PCM).

I have a 1998 Ford Windstar with a 3.8 liter engine. Where is the crankshaft sensor

The crankshaft position (CKP) sensor on the 1998 Windstar with 3.8L is located near the crankshaft pulley on the front cover. There is a shield mounted over the CKP sensor that you'll need to remove to access the sensor.

Would you care to share why you suspect the CKP sensor is bad? Typically with Fords a bad CKP will cause a no-start condition due to no spark, but you'll still hove good fuel pressure.
