I HAVE A TOYOTA HILUX SURF WITH A 1KZ-TE 3.0 TURBO DIESEL ENGINE AND ITS BEEN GIVING ME A HEAD ACHE FOR THE PAST MONTH... THE PROBLEM IS: 1. IT TAKES SEVERAL KEY STOKES TO START AND WHEN IT DOES THERE A CLOUD OF BLACK SMOKE AND THE IDLE IS NOT SMOOTH AND AFTER A WHILE IT SHUTS OFF..IVE EVEN NOTICED THAT WHEN ITS SMOKING THERE ARE SMOKE RINGS COMING FROM THE EXHAUST.....I CHANGED THE FUEL FILTER AND CLEANED THE INJECTORS AND THE FUEL TANK BUT THE PROBLEM STILL PERSIST.....WHAT SHOULD I DO?

You have a major task in front of you .The wiring and computer are not the same. get the computer and wiring loom from the donor engine vehicle. You will have to rework the exhaust system ,cooling system, transmission and drive shaft, rework the front suspension springs because of extra weight. Do check with the main roads department or other body as they may refuse to register or insure it.
