Question about 1986 Toyota Camry

2 Answers

Electrical problem I was given a 1986 Toyota Camry. There is what I think is and open ground in the car. The only way that the windows or gages, work is for the car to be in reverse with the brake on. Can you point me in a direction?

The posted comment seems logical. I was hoping there was and electrical boot that had all the wires from the gauges, the windows on both sides, the air conditioner and the heater fan. None of these things work without the car being in revere with your foot on the brake. Also the the former owner stated that he was having trouble keeping the brake light bulbs from burning out????

Check the wiring connections which may be near the gear box or the break padel

That is a contact, you must test the wirings starting from fuse box to window cotrols, then motor, behind dooor panel, and on the other way you test wirings from fuse box to ECU (computer).
If you do not find anything wrong then computer module may be faulty, test the ECU eith a scanner or a code reader and eventually replace it.

1995 Toyota Camry LE. No power windows operate

the fuse switch is merely a fuse in your fuse panel ,,however many issues regarding this is between the door jamb in the plastic boot the wires over time become worn from all the opening and closing of the door if you remove the switch itself and use of a test light will ensure proper diagnosis is there power to the switch if so then it may very well be the switch itself

Divers window won't roll up my Camry

No won't be fuse. My guess is there is something faulty with the main controller. You could probably verify this by trying the switch on right rear passenger door. If it works there then the problem is at the main controller in the driver door. Could be a loose wire or the switch itself is broken.
