You might check the ground wires to make sure the engine is grounded to the chassis, this will prevent the engine from starting.

Just rebuilt motor in 1998 chevy suburban and have no spark from coil... replaced coil pack, coil module, distributor, and crank shaft sensor... what could it be?

Did you check primary voltage at the coil? Pink wire goes hot with the key on. Use a test lite. That circuit is fuse protected.

I'm a jack of all trades and master of none.

What would cause a 97 chevy 1500 with a 4.3L not to have spark coming out of the distributor any ideas

Don't know if this will help you or not. But we found out with our 97 Silverado, that almost everything electrical went through the ignition switch. You might investigate an ignition problem.

78 chevy 350 motor has no spark or power to the distributor

there has to be a wire from the coil to the distributor to the points inside the distributor
if it has points , check that they are not shorted out and that the moving point is insulated from the distributor plate
check for a condenser attached to the moving point and fixed to the distributor body
if it has an electronic system , it could be a problem igniter unit in the distributor

Trouble code P0320 ignition/dist. engine speed input circuit

P0320 - Ignition / distributor engine speed circuit malfunction

The ignition engine speed sensor input signal to Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or Electronic Control Module (ECM) is continuously monitored. The test fails when the signal indicates that 2 successive erratic profile ignition pickup (PIP) pulses occurred.

Symptoms:
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Lack/Loss of Power
- The engine may be harder to start
- The engine may stumble or stall

When is the code detected?
The P0320 code is triggered when 2 successive erratic PIP pulses are detected.

Possible Causes:
- Loose wires/connectors
- Faulty Crank Position Sensors
- Arcing secondary ignition components (coil, wires and plugs)
- Low battery charge
- Powertrain Control Module

Possible Solutions:
- Resecure loose wire or connectors
- If battery charge is low, recharge or replaced battery
- Replaced crank position sensor
- Replaced starter motor

Test it and tell us news.

My toyota corolla was idline fine then just cut off . no spark in distributor

If your engine cranks normally but will not start and cuts off because it has no spark, or it stalls and won't restart because it has no spark, the problem may be due to any of the following:
A bad pickup inside the distributor a stripped distributor drive gear (common problem with plastic distributor drive gears, broken, loose or corroded wires from the pickup to the ignition module or PCM.
If there is power going from the coil to the dist, but no spark coming out of the dist. the Condenser is bad. Small round thing that has a wire that hooks to the points. If the engine has no spark, check for voltage at the coil positive terminal when the ignition key is on.
If there is voltage, the problem is on the trigger side of the coil (pickup, crank sensor, ignition module or primary wiring circuit).
If there is NO voltage at the coil, the problem is on the supply side (the ignition switch or ignition wiring circuit).
If the coil has voltage, the problem may be a bad high voltage output wire from the coil to the distributor, hairline cracks in the coil output tower, or cracks or carbon tracks inside the distributor cap or on the rotor. You can check this with voltmeter.------------------
That's it.

1997 jeep grand cheerkee tunes over but won,t start no fire from coil to distributor

So you have B+ to coil but no B+ from coil to distributor. Sounds like the ignition module.
Its not triggering coil to fire . Double check it with a test light at negative side of coil and then to ground.crank the vehicle if light flickers its ok if not its your culprit.
Should light flicker then test its the wires from coil to distributor, distributor , rotor and plug wires.
Honestly if the light flickers your not losing anything by replaceing the items from the coil tower to the plugs.

No sparks from spark plug

When was the last time the spark plugs were replaced? They sell an "Engine starting fluid" that you spray directly into your air intake hose to aid in the occasional start-up problem. Have used it before, works very well.
