Try to check the ignition coil, when you driving it become hot then the car dies end won't start. After awhile when it's cold, then it will start. Replace the ignition coil. I hope it solves the problem
I would check the fuel pump or the fuel pump relay I am guessing if you let it sit for awhile it starts then one day stops again and over and over if that is the case definitely 1 or both of those things
Try replacing the control module under your dash. It should be located under the steering wheel next to your hood latch. Look for a black or gray box about 4 inches wide and 3 inches long...give or take a few inches.. You'll see what I'm talking about once you look into it. Hondas are known for a faulty unit when they're aging... Oh! listen to your fuel pump when you turn your ignition to the on switch. I bet you anything when it's not starting you won't hear it pump but, when you do hear it pump that's when it starts. LMK what happens....good luck!
You shouldn't need to replace 2 pumps,or even one. It shouldn't whine, where you hear it, driving.
I would change the steering rack, flush the cooler and pump. Still got a whine ,your getting bad rebuilt pumps
Could be fuel delivery; fuel filter clogged, worn fuel pump. Does it still have battery power when it dies, cranks but no start? How long does it take to start again? When does this occur, engine hot/cold? Does it happen all the time or sometimes? How long does it run until it cuts?
Could be either one of these. Or both. Check to see if you hear the fuel pump when you turn the key to ON. If you can't hear anything , the pump is bad . Or going bad if you don't hear it all the time when your key bis in the ON position.
yes they are linked together I had the same problem and the solution is your coil pack needs replacing there for there is no spark for the spark plugs to the engine thats why the rev counter is moving it the engine cutting out really quickly.
There not expensive I got 1 from a scrap dealer for 20 euro and really easy to install its just 2 bolts and a connection.
The smell off fuel is from when your trying to start it back up the fuel is being pumped into the engine and not being burned
