You probably mean a CV joint. You would only have that witha 4x4 frt axle not on the rear drive shaft. You do have a universal joint on the driveshaft. It is where the driveshaft connects to the diff and where it connects to the transmission. It looks like an x or a cross. When this joint goes bad you usually get a klunk sound. Take the driveshaft out and over to a driveline shop to have rebuilt. You need a press to do it yourself.

SOURCE: cannot remove the front drive shaft

you have to remove the differential cover this will exp[ose the carfrier gear. you have to remove the end bearing caps make sure you keep them in order they have to be replaced the same way . there is a retaining ring on each axle that must be removed before you can remove the axle. remember wwhen you assemble it back that you replace those rings on the axles. please rate this........thanks

Leak in ac system

There is a UV dye that can be added to the A/C system which will fluoresce under a UV light. This is sold at auto parts stores. Also, pay special attention to joints where portions of the A/C come together as there are O-rings used for sealing. Dirt gets into these areas and erodes the O-rings or the aluminum used in the tubing; this is where the U/V dye really helps with tracking the issue. Also, look at the high and low pressure sampling ports for possible leakage. Good luck!

How to grease UV joints on front end

Your need to remove the Gator clips, pull the gator off the joint. Get some protective gloves on your hands, get a handfull of grease and really push it into the joint. It will need a couple of handfulls to do the trick. Clean off the excess around the outside of the C.V.J and rubber gator or it will just pop off the joint when you turn full lock. Your also need new cable ties or new clips too. To do a proper job, you should really take to joint apart, clean it out with a de-greaser and re-pack with new grease. Carefull.... that graffite grease stinks like Sh~! to a blanket so don.t get any on you!
