One key should work this whole car unless the ignition has been changed. Do you remeber if it also worked the door locks and trunk locks? If so also you may want to look in owners manual if by chance it is still in vehicle alot of time the will write the key codes on the owners manual. Thank You

I have a 06 ion and battery checks good but the car will not turn over at all, not even a click. could this be a bad starter or starter relay?

If only clicked then I'd say bad neutral safety switch but with no click which is a relay then you may have an ignition switch problem. That's in the steering column coming from the key ignition or the starter relay is fried.

Turn the key won't even turn over. Can get the car to turn over by pulling the starter relay and jumping it. Thinks its the security system.

yeah i'd agree. these give a lot of trouble with the ignition switch. usually have to replace the whole switch and have it programmed

I have a 91 honda accord and something may be wrong with the ignition switch. When I put the key in the key won't move either way like the switch is jammed

Yeah, over time and use, the ignition key switch can jam or break. Take your car into a repair shop or dealership. They will diagnose and determine the problem, and help you decide the steps to take to fix your problem. I strongly recommend going to a dealership for most repairs and services, simply because they will fix your problem, take care of your car, and if they break something, they'll take full responsibility instead of pointing fingers until you say f#*& it!

Starting problem

yeah, once the anti-theft light turns on you may have to wait from 3 min. to 10 on other vehicles. This happens due to the ignition switch not recognizing the key, there for setting off the light(alarm). Over time the tumblers inside the switch get stuck or worn out with time. The solution is very expensive because you gotta replace the ignition switch, key lock tumblers and reprogram the key.

Keys are locked inside my 99 chevy malibu

You are going to have to spring for a locksmith unless someone in your family has a key. Next time, keep a factory made key (copies tend to screw up the $250-300 ignition module, yeah its that much) at a family member's house. Or hide one very carefully somewhere not around your car or house. If you try picking the door lock or using slim jims, you could cause expensive damage. I don't know why anybody would steal this rental-car looking heap, but they have a huge theft-deterrent system in the cars.

I had the very same problem with my 97' jimmy. I finally replace the ignition wiring harness. That controls the electrical going to the dash. Blinkers, gauges, fuel pump, I also replaced the Key switch just in case. Started right up all gauges work, blinkers everything.
