Question about 1988 Isuzu Trooper 2 Door
So I just picked up a beater 2.6L 88 trooper II the other day. The back wiring harness was lose to the fuel pump so I had to zip tie it together to get it running. If anyone is having fuel pump problems check your connections first!!! Cause I did about 4 hours of work and 120 bucks of useless cash!!
Anyways, the trooper would start up and only keep running if I hit the gas really hard and run it for about 5 minutes the idel was really low and would die. I check everything I could. Finally I removed the hose from the carb that runs over the block to the air filter. There was a huge hole in the bottom of the middle tube where the vacuum hoses connect to it.
I patched the hole up with some duct tape as a temporary solution, and it runs like a dream!! Just not going to be a perminant solution. So I need to know what that hose is called so I can order a new one.
I have a haynes manual but I can't find a hose diagrham or anything.
The hose is the second hose off of the carberator, the first hose is a smaller maybe 5 inch wide hose, then it couples with the middle hose over the block, the middle hose has two additional hoses that branch off of it, probably to the cooling systems, it then continues right to the air filter hose and connects the air filter to the carb. I need to know what that middle large hose over the engine block is called!
Thanks for the help everyone!
