Question about 2005 Dodge Caravan

1 Answer

We seem to be have electrical problems.

At first the blower motor for the AC, and heater stopped working. Now when you start up the van, the guages go all the way around, and then back. The radio will turn off, then back on again.

My power locks stopped working with the remote...I had the code reset and they worked for 2weeks and no it's back to the same problem. Also the radio and the blower (fan) stops and starts all the time. Is this a fuse or relay problem?? I looked thru the manual but nothing is labelled for the blower/radio. Can some one help me out?

First it was my locks with the remote, then my panic alarm went all crazy, I had to take the fuse out of the horn because it would just start going off. Then my locks stopped working all together. My lights "pulsate", for lack of a better word. Now my blower has stopped blowing. The heater heats, it just doesn't blow.

Hi Harleysport,

Sounds like you have a problem with the grounding side of your electrical circuits....Check the battery connections and then all the other grounds....

Heater just stopped blowing..no hot or cold air...no noise.. nothing....temp guage is normal

First check all of your fuses the one under the dash and the ones under the hood! If all the fuses are good it could be one of three things the Blower motor, Blower motor resistor, or the blower motor relay!

My heater/ac stops working for a while then starts back up - what could be the problem

A common problem for older vehicles is that A/C-Heater blower stops and goes due to loose electrical connections. some people try to "kick" or "bang" around the blower compartment to make it vibrate and work. I suggest have it take out and clean and tight up the electrical conection.
hope this helps.

Air stopped blowing on ac/heater

Check your fuses. If you have a test light, unplug the blower motor, start the car, turn the fan on, if you have power to the blower plug, the blower motor is bad. If no power, if it's not a fuse, check the blower motor resistor. Should be mounted right next to the blower motor. It is inserted into the evaporator box

Blower for AC/Heater stopped working

if you can reach the blower motor, it could be a worn out carbon brush of the blower motor. if they are, buy a set of carbon brush, learn how to replace them and it would be back running in no time. by the way, when you pull out the carbon brush holder, make sure you dont interchange the position. you can put them back wards and what would happen is the rotation will be reversed. either you reversed the carbon brush holder or just simply interchange the wires that are coming to the motor. i hope i was able to help...
