95 Geo Tracker Dash Lights out?

My stereo is run off an amp under the console and it's been acting up, I think theres a grounding wire because it keeps blowing the fuse everytime i replace it.. The fuse in the amp blew and now my interior lighting is out including the little top light.. Im wondering what I need to do to get them back on, any help would be awesome.
