Re: Battery light on dash is on
It means the battery isn't charging properly, and yes you should have it checked now before you get stuck somewhere. How long has the light been on? How old is the battery? You should have the battery and charging system checked asap. countrycurt0

charge the battery and once fully charged, do a LOAD test on it, clean all the connections and start the car ,, check the voltage at the battery posts with the car running, you should get between 13.5 and 14.5 volts, if not, replace the alternator , if you do, the battery and the cables just needed some attention
Yes, it could be. Or you can check your battery. And try adding brake fluid to your master cylinder. That sometimes will cause the brake light to come on. Or check your emergency brake. Hope this helps, James Booth.
Have you tried removing various fuses?? That will give you an indication of where the trouble lies, there should be a drawing of what the fuse protects when you find the offending cicuit which should help iscolate the offending component. I bet you find it`s something that someone has added eg reversing sensors, Aircon clutch is a common culprit. Good luck, Ian
