I dont think changing the springs had anything to do with your abs unless the guy that installed them did something wrong.

Check first to see if your abs works.

drive fast, floor the brakes, if your tires lock... you have no abs.

IF you do have abs, find out why the light is on from a mechanic. It could lead to future abs failure, which if you want to replace the abs module, your talking about a grand.

happy hunting.

Why is my ABS system kicking on for no reason on my 2009 trailblazer?

There is ALWAYS a reason.
Reasons that the ABS light will illuminate:
  1. Brake pads, brake shoes, rotors, or drums worn beyond allowable specification;
  2. Brake fluid level low, or brake fluid leaking;
  3. Failed ABS control unit;
  4. Failed ABS sensors at wheels

Horn doesn't work,abs light on dash stays on and also cruise control does not work either

Typical reason for no cruise and horn is a bad clock spring underneath the airbag. Typically you have an airbag light on as well and not an abs light

How to reset abs light in a subaru forester

The ABS light on your vehicle will self-reset, once the condition causing the light to illuminate is rectified.
Reasons for the ABS light coming on are:
  1. Worn brake pads;
  2. Worn calipers (beyond tolerance);
  3. Defective ABS unit;
  4. Low brake fluid level;
  5. Defective master cylinder;
  6. Brake fluid leak.
It is important that whatever condition is causing the ABS light to illuminate is corrected as soon as possible, as it indicates a potential hazardous condition exists with your vehicle.

My 2000 silverado z71 when switching to 2hi 4hi or 4lo the push button will flash and the front end will not ingage. and also have a abs light on

The 4x4 will not engage unless the ABS is in proper order the reason being. ABS cannot operate in a 4x4 engagement,and in return the 4x4 will not hi or low without the ABS concerns corrected the solution fix ABS and the 4x4 switch goes back to normal operations

The abs light came on? What might be the problem?

the abs light will come on if there is low pressure in one of the tires on the vehicle.
The abs system detects the drag the low air pressure tire is causing , and allerts you of this.
other causes are bad wheel bearings which cause a vibration in the abs sensors .
there are other reasons the abs will light up , but these are the most common.

Abs light on as well as parking light (emergency break light)

You will need the abs system scanned and a code to figure out what is bad. Is it the ck eng light or the battery light??, BIG difference. If the battery voltage is too low, the abs light could be on for that reason. As for the ck engine light, there are 1000 reasons that could be on. you will need to have a shop scan that also when they scan the abs system. only after they have the codes and a diagnosis has been made, will you know what is wrong, and what it will take to fix it. Stay away from any type of chain store operation.

My abs light stays on and tc light stays on

Change the switch - it's above the brake pedal. That will probably account for the ABS light and the brake lights being stuck. Note that you may have more than one ABS issue, and if the light stays on you'll want to have that system scanned by someone with the proper test system for that reason.

ABS warning light

To my knowledge, the ABS light coming on indicates that the system has been disabled for some unknown reason(s). This would then translates to your vehicle having only standard/conventional power brakes, but brakes you will still have.

The correct procedure would be to have your ABS Brake Code scanned and interpreted.

The ABS warning light could be triggered by faulty sensor in any of the wheels or damaged wiring/connector or worst case scenario defective ABS module, pump or motor. Alternately, you try to fill the reservoir up. Normally, there would be a rubber cap andanother plastic cap under it. Add Honda brake fluid with the engine running. It would be preferable to do it slowly as to allow the air bubbles to escape. Additionally, pls check for any sign of leakage. If for some reason it would considerable fluid has to be added, it may be necessary to bleed the system. Pls reference this page for the procedures.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
