Hi when you say it sits low you mean back and front its unlikely all your springs have gone weak alltogether at the same time but the corect way to higher it is put harder springs in place of yours or you could leave your springs on and buy four adjustable shockers price you would have to shop around as there will be a big differance between shops have fun yates210456

Off-road vehicle precautions (on four ? wheel drive models and pre Runner/Raised...

This vehicle has higher ground clearance and narrower tread in relation to the height of its center of gravity to make it capable of performing in a wide variety of off-road applications. Specific design characteristics gives it a higher center of gravity than ordinary passenger cars. This vehicle design feature causes this type of vehicle to be more likely to rollover. And, it has a significantly higher rollover rate than other types of vehicles. An advantage of the higher ground clearance is a better view of the road allowing you to anticipate problems. It is not designed for cornering at the speed as ordinary passenger cars any more than low-slung sports cars designed to perform satisfactorily under off-road conditions. Therefore, sharp turns at excessive speeds ma cause rollover.

How do I add oil to my 1997 911?

Warm up the car and have it sit on a flat surface, because Porsche uses a dry sum system you can only check it when the motor is running. open the cap and check the dip stick level, just fill it below the max mark.

We get severe wheel shake at higher speeds when we hit the brakes. Seems fine at 5-15 MPH??

If it's only while braking then you probably have warped brake rotors. It can be caused by a couple of things, among them is improper torque of the lug nuts when changing or rotating the tires. If the rotors do not have excessive wear or warp, then you MIGHT be able to correct them by having them turned on a brake lathe. Otherwise, you will have to replace them (only whichever one(s) are bad).

How can I make my car's ground clearance higher?

This vehicle is very prone to have broken coil springs. My advise is to take it to a very good and honest place that has a fix it right, or its free motto. I have seen Firestone Corporate shops that carry that logo and care about there clients. They will charge something for a complete insp. and they claim to take you out and show you the needed repairs. This way you can see and make a decition to have it repaired there or take it to a very good HONEST shop for a suspention inspection. Hope all goes well for you. PS, do this soon, cause if it is broken, it may turn and puncture a tire when you turn or while driving.

1) Battery dies while car sits overnight. Brand

check the ground to battery and clean posts if need be, also make sure that the alternator is at proper charging rate. a fully charged battery with engine off should read at least 12.5 or higher. when running the battery should read 14 volts or a little higher. clean corrosion from case also if need be. if the above does not work check engine ground.

My 1992 ford escort 1.9 engine timing belt broke help

if the belts bloke then you will need to remove the head and prob have to change the exhaust or intake values if bent but this really needs to been done by some body who no's what they are doing as they will need to be ground in ,, but the draw is that this can be very exspensive to have done.. some times we can be lucky like some of the old ford pinto engines belts snapped and didnt cause any damage but engines have less a clearance these days higher compression for more power

hope this has helped matdav69
