Connect to a diagnostic computer and see what codes it gives you! it might be related to the "throttle control" or TPS which governs the mixture of gas/air talks to the car computer which controls all these things in the 2003 Envoy. could be the car computer as well....

My 2003 envoy making a click calling noise gets louder the more I drive also sounds like a diesel engine did I blow my engine there's not much power and when I run defrost it will shut down ?

dont know if engine is blown but when was last time oil was changed -your ticking or diesel noise are probably the valves [oil starved or damaged ] check oil level and also their are 2 sensors that relies on oil and are mounted next to the power steering pump one is the camshaft position which is inline with the oil cap and the other is camshaft position actuator solenoid if clogged or oil starved causes engine to run erratic and sometimes gives a trouble code not always to check your valves and engine cylinders will need to pull and check plugs --compression test and possible may have to pull valve covers to look at the head ---

Why does it occasionally lose power going uphill?

Sounds like it's starving. Change your filters lately. How about those O2 sensors especially the upper ones.

My tuscon looses power intermittently, sometimes when accelerating, sometimes when just driving. It will do this for 1-2 days then will be ok for a week before doing it again. I can put into neutral a

Could be be clogged fuel filter or air filter or poor output from fuel pump. Low fuel pressure etc will cause it to "starve" for fuel. Clogged air filters will do similar thing causing it to choke for air. You said it loses power, does that mean it stops running and the engine dies or is it just not giving you as much acceleration as you need.

Could also be the drivetrain like torque converter or transmission depending on the model if it is automatic. If it is standard then it would not sound like a drivetrain problem, my first suggestion if to get your fuel filters cleaned and then have a fuel system cleaning done.

They will physically clean the throttle body and add a solution to the intake while it is running as well as pour an additive into the fuel tank.

First things first, fuel system cleaning, then fuel filter/s. Then check fuel pressure output.

2003 GMC Envoy Service Engine light on. OBD2 Code is P0128

Ah the famous P0128.....It's 1 of 2 things. If your fan is not engaged constantly (would sound like an airplane or big rig everytime you step on the gas) and is working properly, that rules out the fan clutch. The other common problem is the thermostat. Replace the thermostat and the code will go away. Engine temperature needs to be at 210 degrees on these engines. If the fan clutch is constantly engaged, it's cooling the engine off constantly and won't get up to 210 fast enough. If it's the thermostat, it's stuck open and isn't allowing the coolant to properly heat up in time.

When should I tune a 2003 GMC Envoy 4.2 L engine with 44,000 miles on it?

There is no adjusting or tuning to do,for the last 25 years, the computers etc, do that
60,000 is long enough for spark plugs
You should have flushed the brake fluid, every two years
Coolant every three
Trans fluid and power steering every ,three or not more than 30,000 miles
Fuel and air filters every three years 30,000

My "GMC Envoy 2003 XL SLT 4.2 liter 6 cylinder",check engine light came on.every morning i start the car to warm-up and it's o.k. but then when i put it on drive"It starts to shake when i step on the brake...

First thing to do is to clean the throttle body and throttle plate thoroughly. While performing the cleaning, disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes. This will force the PCM to relearn with a clean throttle body. See if this helps with running and the codes. Also make sure the gas cap is tightened properly.

Lose of power on acceleration like its starving

Sounds like there is a load of dirty fuel in that gas tank. Ran good for a while after changing fuel filter, then began to run poorly again. Remove fuel tank, drain and clean out, replace fuel filter AGAIN. That should cure it. Hope this helps
