Question about 1994 Honda Civic
I took my Honda Civic hatchback to the mechanic when it started to die on the stop lights. They "fixed" this and now it starts to idle after couple of miles - rpms going up and down when slowing down and when stopping. Mechanic is blaming a/c compressor (changed last year) but it is happening with or without a/c and/or heat on. Could you help?
il give you a list of problems it could be...its a problem that could come from a wide range of sensors etc
try changing your TPS (throttle positioning sensor) its located on the intake area (look where the throttle cable hooks to the engine) Possibility of a fuel pressure regulator problem. Also a faulty Idle Air Control motor (IAC) could cause the problem. computer may need to be reset. (disconnect the battery for bout 15 mins) possibly a vacuum leak...check hoses, you may need to replace your intake maniflod gasket
