Question about 2001 Ford Escort ZX2
I have unbolted and dewired the alternator but cannot figure out for the life of me how to actually get it out of the engine compartment due to lack of room.
Any help you can offer me will be greatly appreciatted
You have got to take out the coolant resevor. Also, you will probably need a serpintine belt tool to get the belt back on. i tried everything. its one of the tighter engine compartments out there.

To get the belt on just take the plastic cover on the passenger side wheel well the tensioner will be reachable with a standered wrench 13mm if I remember right.
