Engine check light on error code 1 is P0171 system too lean bank 1 error code 2 is P0174 system too lean bank 2

P0171 system too lean bank 1
P0174 system too lean bank 2
links to information on the codes

it means that the O2 sensors in your vehicle detected a lean condition in their respective banks. this could be caused by a dirty MAF (mass air flow) sensor or a vacuum leak downstream from the MAF sensor

sometimes you can clean the MAF with electronics cleaner or brake cleaner but be sure to take it off the vehicle first. be careful not to damage the MAF while spraying the cleaner, and allow it to dry completely before installing it on the vehicle.

Check all the bolts holding the plenum, and anything else concerned with air intake. Too much air means weak mixture.

Failed OBDII Diagnstic trouble codes P0761 and O1744 What does this mean?

code P0761-
Possible causes - Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid
- Faulty shift solenoid 3 valve
- Shift solenoid 3 valve harness or connectors
- Shift solenoid 3 valve circuit is open or shorted
P0761 FORD Description Shift solenoid valve 3 is turned ON or OFF by the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in response to signals sent from the park/neutral position (PNP) switch, vehicle speed and Engine Control Module (ECM) (throttle opening). Gears will then be shifted to the optimum position. When is the code detected? The P0761 code is detected when the ECM has detected a mechanical fault with the solenoid energized, valve stuck off code O1744- is not a code these are the ones I have found that come close

Fault code p0174 what is the usually problem with this code

P0174 is System Too Lean Bank 'B'. This will almost certainly be an air leak somewhere in Bank B from where the inlet manifold splits into 2 to feed Bank 'A' and 'B', or possibly a leak in the exhaust manifold / catalyst or where the O2 sensors are fitted into the exhaust. Cleaning the MAF is unlikely to make a difference, as if this is the problem you'll either get a lean code for both banks (P0171 and P0174) or a MAF sensor code (P0101). If the O2 sensor is a fault you'll get an O2 sensor code for Bank B, so don't chance an expensive change of this!
A blocked fuel filter won't only give this code (again it'll affect both banks), ditto the air filter.

As regards to only showing up on highway driving, the leak may only be small and only evident at a higher under bonnet temperature.

P0171 and p0174 codes

P0171 System too Lean (Bank 1)
P0174 System too Lean (Bank 2)

If a car has a check engine light on and has P0171 and P0174 codes stored, the most likely cause is a vacuum leak. These codes are set by the car’s computer when it sees too much oxygen in the exhaust. Excessive oxygen readings in the exhaust will set lean codes. This does not mean that the oxygen sensors are defective. It is a common mistake for people to replace oxygen sensors when lean codes are present. Just because the code is related to oxygen sensor readings, it doesn’t mean that the oxygen sensors are bad. If both of these codes are stored this means that both banks of the engine have excessive oxygen in the exhaust. If the oxygen sensors are replaced it’s most likely that the same codes will reappear. It is very uncommon for two oxygen sensors to fail at the same time.

Therefore the most likely cause of P0171 and P0174 codes is a vacuum leak. The source of a vacuum leak can be one of many things. The most common cause of a vacuum leak is a leaky hose. Vacuum hoses over time can become dry and brittle. The rubber deteriorates and can leak causing a vacuum loss. Many times a leaky vacuum hose can be found by listening for a hissing sound. A large vacuum leak can even make the car run rough at idle. In some cases it will not idle without feathering the gas pedal.
