For 1998 Ford Truck Explorer 4WD 4.0L EFI SOHC 6cyl the Fuel Filter is located under vehicle, driver side, below seating area, near fuel tank, mounted on frame rail in fuel line
.
Hope this helps (remember to rate and commene this answer).
Filters are usually located under the car near the fuel tank. It would look like a canister with a nipple at each end where the high pressure fuel lines are connected.
Your fuel filter should be on mounted to the frame rail on the drivers side. It could be the fuel filter if it hasnt been changed in a long time or the vehicle sat for a while. Might also want to look into checking your Mass Airflow Sensor and for any vacuum leaks.
cando997, The fuel filter for the blazer is located under the drivers seat underneath the vehicle. Just follow the fuel lines from the gas tank and in the middle of the fuel line somewhere under the drivers seat is a metal cannister with a fuel line running in and a fuel line running out. This is the fuel filter. I hope this helps in anyway.
the fuel filter is located down under the middle of the frame rail, on the drivers side, remove the lines from the filter, look out b/c some fuel will come out after diconecting the line. replace with the new filter make sure you get the "FLOW" "should be marked on the filter" pointing to the front of the car
I had the same problem with my 2002 Cheavy Malibu. First check the fuses under the drivers side under the hood. Look in your manuel to find the location for the fuel fuse location. If that doesnt work then look at your fuel filter.
