Question about 1984 Ford Mustang

1 Answer

Used Van I just bought an Econoline 150 for work. I paid cash for it and it was an as is sale. I test drove it, and it drove well. I knew I needed to get new tires and brakes. Over the last day I have had these problems 1. When I stop the brakes feel like they are pulsating. 2. The dash lights won't come on and the cigarette lighter doesn't work. 3. It took me almost 30 minutes to get the key to turn the ignition. So when I turn the van off I left the ignition half way turned so that it wouldn't lock. When I turn the ignition back on I couldn't get the van in gear. I tried to put the car in gear and start it and it wouln't work. I finally put the van in neutral and was able to drive. Right now my biggest concern is getting the key to turn the van on.

Go to parts store buy new ignition cylinder ford are easy to replace. Once you have new ignition turn on old ignition to run position just under the switch you will see a hole push in the silver pin on that hole and pull out old switch and insatll new hope that will solve your problem

1999 Ford E250 Van will not start

i've never heard of a cold temp sensor... theres an intake air temp sensor it goes in the large plastic tube that comes off your air filter box, i doubt this is your problem tho.. i would lean more toward the fuel pressure regulator or one of the injectors could be dumping. also a clogged catylitic converter may cause an overfueling situation. hope this helps and good luck
