Question about 1998 Volkswagen Cabrio

1 Answer

CD Player The CD worked fine until I had a new clutch put in. Now the radio does not know that I have a CD player as the mode switch never gives me the option of choosing a CD, The dealer says there is NO connection between a clutch repair and a CD player working. Anybody have any suggestions to resolve the problem of the radio mode switch not knowing I have a CD player?

is this CD player built into the head unit or is it a separate system in the trunk. also is it a after market CD player.

There's an antenna on the roof by the back window which appears damaged. FM radio works perfectly well, as does the CD player. However, we get only dead air or static in AM mode.

MY TRAILBLAZER CD PLAYER QUIT WORKING, CAN'T GET CD'S IN OR OUT, RADIO WORKS FINE NO HOME RECORDED CD'S EVER PUT IN

The motors inside the players tend to burn out. You will have to remove player, remove top cover and cradle of the player, and remove your cd. Than either have new motor put in your player or purchase a new player mabey from ebay or equivelant.

Putting a cd player in

Is the CD player a standalone or a multi CD unit?
Or does it have a built in radio?
If it has a built in radio just remove the old radio and install new CD unit in same space.
If no tell me the type of CD player and model

If i get a new cd player/radio for my jetta work if in safe mode?

If you buy another factory radio it'll need the unlock code to work with your factory alarm system. But if you go with an after market radio it'll work just fine, your alarm will just think there's no radio installed.
